With the Carnivorous Cube, you can have a lot of fun in Hearthstone. There are plenty of “One Turn Kill” combos waiting!
With Kobolds and Catacombs, Hearthstone has received a total of 135 new cards, most of which have a significant impact on the game. This time, there are only a few “Vanilla” cards without effects. Many of the new cards even have entirely new effects that allow for exciting combinations.
Especially funny is the epic minion Carnivorous Cube. For 5 Mana, it has solid stats of 4/6 and the Battlecry to destroy a friendly minion. What sounds illogical at first unfolds its cruel effect with the Deathrattle. When the Carnivorous Cube dies, it summons two copies of the destroyed minion.
This allows for not only legendary minions to be cloned nearly indefinitely but also devastating OTK combos, such as with the Warlock and his Voidwalker. It’s hard to find a fitting counter against up to 30 damage in the rush.
Multiple Deathrattles for Victory
Even in combination with other cards that trigger a Deathrattle effect upon summoning (Spirit Singer Umbral) devastating effects can be achieved. The coolest “plays” with this card have been documented by the YouTube channel Hearthstone Plays. Take a look at the moves and try not to get a wide grin on your face:
Especially in the “Wild” game mode, where all cards from Hearthstone are allowed, you can pull off absolute killer combinations with the Carnivorous Cube. If done skillfully, you can have up to 6 Ragnaros (or is it Ragnarosess?) on the battlefield at the same time, which allows fireballs to rain down on the opponent dealing 48 damage.
