The launch of “Saviors of Uldum” is approaching. We will tell you what you need to know for the new Hearthstone expansion.
Today, on August 6, 2019, a new expansion starts in Hearthstone. The “Saviors of Uldum” are being released and will bring fresh air to Blizzard’s digital card game. To ensure you are perfectly prepared for the launch, we have summarized all the important innovations in this article for you.
When does “Saviors of Uldum” start? The kickoff is at 7:00 PM, today on August 6, 2019. Please keep in mind that there have been small delays in the past or the login servers have been overloaded. If you want to start playing right at launch, you should bring some waiting time and patience in case the servers can withstand the rush again.
What are the major innovations? The perhaps most important innovations are a total of 135 new cards, including some really strong highlights. There’s even a card that always presents you with a perfect solution for the current battlefield.
Aside from the new cards, there are also new mechanics and the return of old card types.
- Rebirth: Cards with this keyword will be resurrected with 1 health point after their first death and can continue fighting.
- Plagues: Each class receives a powerful plague spell that (typically) affects both sides of the battlefield. Therefore, it must be used wisely.
- Quests return: Each class is given a new, powerful quest. Quests start in the player’s hand and bring strong rewards when completed.
Is there something for free? Yes! Anyone who logs into the game within the first 90 days after release will receive some free rewards as an incentive.
- A random legendary quest card from Saviors of Uldum
- A quest chain that brings further rewards (probably card packs)
- Additionally, there will be an adventure whose access should also be free – at least the first wing.
When does the solo adventure come? The solo adventure of “Saviors of Uldum” will be released later, specifically in September. However, there is still no exact date for it. An announcement from Blizzard is still pending.
What’s changing in the Arena: For fans of the Arena mode, there are also a few changes. The previous rotation will be lifted, instead, cards from other expansions will be available. The new rotation includes:
- Basic Set
- Classic Set
- The League of Explorers
- Journey to Un’goro
- Knights of the Frozen Throne
- Rastakhan’s Rumble
- Saviors of Uldum
This means you should encounter new, exciting decks in the Arena, and of course, create interesting combinations yourself.
