Fans speculate about the 3 new expansions for Hearthstone in 2018. The images reveal a lot of information!
Blizzard has revealed its plans for Hearthstone and explained how the year 2018 will unfold. There are some changes to existing cards, as 3 cards will be banned to the Hall of Fame and will therefore disappear from Standard mode. At the same time, it has been confirmed that there will again be 3 new expansions.
As is customary for Blizzard, these expansions will be teased with a small image. Ben Brode even issued the challenge: “Can you guess what expansions they are?” – Fans immediately jumped on it.
These are the most popular and well-reasoned theories:
For “Expansion 1 2018,” there seems to be no doubt among fans that it is an expansion focusing on the Emerald Dream. The image clearly shows the vines and branches of a tree winding around a green portal. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Lunara will be a new Druid hero as soon as the first addon goes live – perfectly fitting for the Emerald Dream.
“Expansion 2 2018” also seems to have been largely deciphered, as the small artwork reveals a lot. The purple color strongly resembles the magics of the Nether from “The Burning Crusade,” and the golden portal gives even more clues: it is a portal of the Astral. Speculations are leaning towards a “Netherstorm” expansion. In WoW, Blood Elves, Goblins, Astrals, Aldor, and Seers fought here to harness the wild magics of the place. This could also lead to a reunion with Kael’thas – as the Sunwell was surely just a setback.
For the third expansion, there are currently only wild speculations. However, the “War Paint” leads many players to hope that it will be a Troll expansion. However, fans are still not quite sure about the artwork, as the structure in the middle reveals little and cannot currently be classified. Perhaps you have a concrete idea?
