The complaints from the Hearthstone community are having an effect. Blizzard is reversing some changes to Tess Greymane.
For many, it was the big topic of the last few days in Hearthstone: The legendary rogue card Tess Greymane was nerfed in a patch. Her battlecry ended when the card itself was silenced. Players received no compensation and were expected to simply accept the changed functionality of the card. Now Blizzard is backtracking – Tess retains her old strength.
Tess returns to old strength: After the patch, Tess Greymane’s battlecry will still be executed even if the card is silenced during the battlecry (Silence, Transformation, Death). However, the number of cards played remains at 30. If more cards from other classes have been played, the battlecry will break after 30 card effects.
Blizzard wanted consistency: Originally, Blizzard made the changes to Tess to make her consistent with other cards, such as Yogg-Saron. However, Blizzard recognizes that in Tess’s case, the “nerf” factor is too great and they had no intention of weakening this card. Therefore, an exception is being made for Tess and she will function as players are accustomed to.
Shudderwock will also be buffed. A small change benefits the feared Shudderwock as well. The number of repeated battlecries was limited to 20 some time ago. This limit is being raised again, allowing Shudderwock to execute up to 30 battlecries.
The update is expected to be released today, June 8, and implement the planned changes.
