Throughout history, Harry Potter and his allies have repeatedly dealt with the so-called Death Eaters. But which of these dark wizards is actually the strongest? In this ranking, we search for the ten most dangerous Death Eaters that one should avoid provoking.
What are Death Eaters? During his cruel rise to power, Lord Voldemort gathered many allies around him. His most loyal followers were called Death Eaters. Their identifying mark is the Dark Mark, which they carry on their left forearm.
What criteria do we use? In the ranking, we consider all bearers of the Dark Mark, including those who at some point turned against Voldemort.
Warning: Spoilers: To explain the ranking, various events from movies and books will be discussed.
Do you like anime and Harry Potter? Then you shouldn’t miss these three animes:
Position 10: Amycus Carrow
Amycus Carrow is best known as a cruel teacher at Hogwarts. He got his position after Voldemort took power over the Ministry of Magic and appointed Severus Snape as the new headmaster of Hogwarts.
Amycus taught the subject Defense Against the Dark Arts, which under him became Dark Arts. Together with his sister, Alecto Carrow, he was also Deputy Headmaster and loved to terrorize his students and even torture them.
His extensive knowledge of the Dark Arts and his cruelty make him a dangerous opponent. Ultimately, he was struck down by Harry Potter and Professor McGonagall – two worthy opponents.
His sister Alecto was overpowered by Luna Lovegood, who is not known for her fighting skills. In contrast to Amycus, she barely makes it into the ranking.
Position 9: Lucius Malfoy
Lucius Malfoy is the father of Draco and a member of a very old, “pure-blood” wizarding family, which he takes great pride in. In the second part, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, he smuggles Voldemort’s old diary into Ginny’s belongings, making him partly responsible for the reopening of the Chamber of Secrets.
In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, he leads a group of Death Eaters to steal Harry’s prophecy. A task that Voldemort surely would not have entrusted to just anyone. However, after this mission fails, he falls out of favor with his dark lord.
Overall, Lucius derives his power more from social influence, money, and intrigue. He is less known for combat skill, thus landing only at position 9 in this ranking.
