Students at Hogwarts learn far more than just theory. Even though they are still in training, they should not be underestimated. But which Hogwarts students are actually the strongest?
What was the ranking based on? In 1991, Harry begins his first year at the wizarding school Hogwarts. For six years, he learns spells, potion making, flying, and so on, before he begins hunting for Voldemort’s Horcruxes.
In this ranking, we look at all the students who were at school with Harry at the same time. Former Hogwarts students do not count, as that would nearly encompass all the characters from the series. When sorting the places, we mainly focused on the following aspects:
- Magical power
- Intelligence and success in school
- Skills in dueling
- Special talents
A new series about Harry Potter will soon be released, in which we hope to get to know some Hogwarts students even better:
Place 10: Seamus Finnigan
- House: Gryffindor
- Age in the first part: 11 years
Harry’s classmate from Gryffindor was initially quite clumsy at magic. He regularly set things on fire or blew them up. What was initially a nuisance turned out to be extremely useful later. In the Battle of Hogwarts, he used his explosive abilities to blow up the access bridge.
Seamus also developed into a solid student. Especially in the subjects of Charms, Transfiguration, and “Defense Against the Dark Arts,” he was above average. The latter was also thanks to his training in “Dumbledore’s Army.”
Overall, Seamus Finnigan may not have been the most extraordinary student that Hogwarts has seen. However, I would still prefer not to face his pyrotechnics in a duel.
