We begin this list with what is arguably the most influential position in the wizarding world. The Minister of Magic is the national head of the magical community. He heads the Ministry of Magic and fulfills various political tasks. He is largely responsible for the direction in which the wizarding world develops. For example, under Pius Thickness, Voldemort’s ideals of “pure blood” and Muggle hatred were promoted. Kingsley Shacklebolt, on the other hand, advocated for more equality and reformed many laws after taking office.
This considerable political influence, however, also poses a certain danger for the respective minister. Voldemort, for example, killed the Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour to take power. Especially in times of crisis, the job is anything but secure. In times of peace, however, the danger is relatively low.
