Every month, a survey on the hardware used is conducted on the gaming platform Steam. MeinMMO shows you the results from July 2022.
Steam is one of the largest gaming platforms in the world and is likely familiar to most PC gamers – it’s almost like a home for them. Recently, a survey on MeinMMO showed that many readers have hundreds of games stored in their Steam library.
Steam regularly conducts a survey that provides insight into the hardware of Steam gamers. Now the results for July 2022 are known, and we are listing how the technology distribution on the platform looks – in terms of graphics cards, processor power, and number of cores.

Steam: Graphics Cards – NVIDIA Dominates
The graphics cards used by Steam users show the usual picture – NVIDIA dominates the market, with over 76% market share on Steam.
At the top remains the GTX 1060 from 2016/2017. The mid-range card offers stable performance at FullHD resolution and has over 7% usage share.
The first graphics card from competitor AMD ranks a distant 16th with the Radeon RX 580.
