On August 21, 2024, Twitch streamer HandOfBlood announced the release of a new indie game from his company. This time it is supposed to go in a completely different direction.
What kind of game is it? The new game on the gaming horizon is Megaloot (on Steam), an inventory management roguelite RPG. In turn-based battles, you must face monsters and create powerful builds by organizing your loot to progress further. You only have one life; if you die, you have to start over.

“Have something completely different planned”
This is how HandOfBlood announced the game: “It is gamescom, and games are announced at gamescom,” HandOfBlood begins the introduction to the presentation of the new game. In his Twitch livestream, almost 10,000 viewers (via SullyGnome) are eagerly watching what the new game has to offer. He initially showed the trailer and explained the core elements of the game.
The previous game TerraScape was a completely different genre, which, according to HandOfBlood, INSTINCT3 does not want to cater to for the time being. “That’s why we now have something completely different planned,” said the influencer on Twitch. In general, one doesn’t want to be tied to a specific genre.
HandOfBlood’s first game was a resounding success; it had already received 88 percent positive reviews in Early Access.
When will the game be released? Megaloot will be available on August 30, 2024. Until then, the game can be added to the wishlist on Steam, and a free demo can be tried out.
How much will the game cost? The roguelite RPG will cost 9.75 euros. Until September 5, 2024, there will be a Steam event during which Megaloot will receive a 10 percent discount.
Who is behind the publishing and development? The company INSTINCT3 of HandOfBlood and the publisher Ravenage are co-publishing Megaloot. The game was developed by axilirate, a solo developer.
HandofBlood has gathered a large community that listens to his game recommendations. Initially, however, the content creator did not know what he actually wanted to become. After his high school diploma, he therefore completed an internship at VW and knew after 3 weeks that he wanted to become an influencer.
