In Pokémon GO the next event has been announced. This brings not only 2 new monsters to the game but also a spooky atmosphere with festive decorations and a familiar melody.
What is this event? The new event “Halloween 2025: Part 1” has been announced for Pokémon GO. It starts on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM and ends on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
Two monsters are making their debuts in the game, there are new event field research tasks, as well as new avatar items and event stickers. During the event, PokéStops and gyms will be decorated in colorful Halloween decor and a familiar, partially feared melody is returning: At night, a remix of the Lavender Town music will play, which you can hear in this video on YouTube.

What new monsters are there? The event introduces two matcha Pokémon, Mortcha and its evolution Fatalitcha, both of which are Grass and Ghost types introduced in the ninth generation. To evolve Mortcha into Fatalitcha, you will need 20 Mortcha candies.
However, the previously known tea Pokémon Fatalitee can now also be caught for the first time in its shiny variant with some luck. Other wild event Pokémon alongside Fatalitee include Zorua (also in its shiny variant), Hisui-Zorua, and Gruff.
Which Pokémon can be encountered through event field research? For completing field research tasks during the Halloween event, you can encounter the following Pokémon:
