Hades 2 is the most anticipated game on Steam. Now the developers have shown the second part, but instead of being excited about the gameplay, everyone is just raving about the new designs of the gods in the game.
Where does the gameplay come from? Currently, a closed technical test of Hades 2 is underway. Only selected players can test the game and provide feedback to the developers. However, to ensure that all non-testers can also enjoy Hades 2, the developers showcased 3 hours of gameplay from Hades 2 during a live stream on Twitch.
The viewers’ attention was particularly focused on the gods and not the gameplay itself.
Here you can watch the trailer for Hades 2, which was shown at the Game Awards.
The gods provide talking points
Why are the gods creating buzz? The gods in Hades 2 have received an upgrade compared to their designs in Hades (1). Many gods now look hotter than before, according to the community. Especially on X (formerly Twitter), many posts are gathering about the gods and how good they look. @sophkat7 shared in a post on X before-and-after comparisons of Hades and Hades 2, going viral with it.

The gods have received a bit more “sexiness,” whether it’s six-packs, revealing outfits, or in the case of Aphrodite, just hair that covers a little bit.
@StardustAndTea writes on X: “Supergiant Games is currently showing some gameplay scenes on Twitch, and PLEASE take a look at the character design of Hecate… They really know who their target audience is”
Is the gameplay not good? Yes, on YouTube, there are also positive comments about the gameplay, voice acting, and other new aspects of the game. However, many seem only to be interested in the gods.
@Lennard-Jones-Potential writes in the comments about the new gameplay: “Fantastic!!! For the first time, I feel ‘nostalgic’ for a game series that I played as an adult.”
@Jok120 writes: “In the name of Hades! Supergiant, I accept this gameplay.”
