On Reddit, the developers revealed some details about the future of Guild Wars 2. Are legendary weapons making a comeback?
Legendary items in Guild Wars 2 are not off the table yet
While a large part of the players experienced the latest spring patch for Guild Wars 2 firsthand and tried out the numerous improvements and new features, the developers quietly held an “Ask me Anything” on Reddit. Over 20 employees from ArenaNet answered the community’s questions. We have compiled the most interesting statements for you here.
- The level 80 boost will not be available for purchase in the game shop in the future either. It is a one-time bonus granted for the purchase of “Heart of Thorns.”
- PvP players will have to make do with what the patch has brought for a while. Season 3 is coming up, and during an ongoing season, they do not wish to make significant changes.
- Furthermore, legendary weapons are not completely “off the table,” even though that’s how it was initially communicated. Currently, they are just not being actively developed, but it is certainly possible that this will be revisited in the future.
- The WvW is still under massive observation by the developers. As servers are often combined to achieve better utilization of the battlefields, the developers are particularly keeping a close eye on this. They are also considering the possibility of rotating the Borderlands quarterly.
