What a lovely surprise! On September 9, 2025, 2 new pieces of content have landed on the live servers of Guild Wars 2. Many fans are especially excited about the new fractal raid.
What is behind the fractal raid? This is a new bonus event that is set to run until October 7, 2025, at 9 PM. The goal of the event: to introduce new players to fractals and provide veterans with additional content through which they can earn great rewards.
During the event period, enemies from the fractals will invade several zones in the open world every hour. To help you get to the front quickly, portals will appear all over the world. Those who participate in the battles can earn 22 reward ranks and unlock various rewards. Among the loot are:
- the Legendary Weapon: Starter Key – Universal
- the Legendary Gloves of Eikasia, the Mist Reaver
- a complete set of rare equipment for characters who have just reached level 80
- Exotic weapons, armor, and exotic accessories, including the new Guild Captain’s Cloak
- the new ascended accessory “Star of the Fractal Conduit” with Anti-Aether Resistance
- 2 inventory slot expansions and a bag with 20 slots

Anyone who wants to test the real fractals can do so now via the so-called quick round mode, which works like the automated dungeon search from other MMORPGs like WoW.
What other content has been added to the game? The PvP mode Blitz has finally made its way to the live servers after several beta rounds. The developers promise an accessible PvP experience where teams of 5 players must transport an object to the enemy base.
This requires multitasking since you must simultaneously prevent opponents from bringing the counterpart to your own fortress. There are secondary objectives, teleporters, and more to add spice to the new PvP experience.
