Guild Wars 2 is preparing for the final episode of the fourth season of the Living World. A first teaser and initial information about the content have now been published. Players can look forward to a new mount.
What is the name of the new episode? The sixth and final episode of the season will be called “Eternal War”. In an accompanying teaser, we see primarily Kralkatorrik, the Elder Dragon.
We fought against him in the last episode and lost. Now the next episode will determine how the player character and their group of heroes will deal with the defeat.

New Mount in the Episode
In the short trailer, we also see a player character on a dragon at the end. This dragon will come as a mount into the game, as Eurogamer has exclusively revealed.
What can the new mount do? The Skyscale (probably translated as Sky Scale) is said to be similar to the current griffon. Both are flying mounts, with the griffon flying better over long distances, while the new dragon is supposed to be more stationary like a helicopter.
The new mount also has strengths against walls and cliffs. It is said to be able to cling and thus regenerate endurance. There should also be opportunities to climb up walls. Thus, places become accessible that even the griffon could not reach.

The new ability: The two flying mounts also differ in their usable ability. The Skyscale will breathe fire when used and trigger an AoE attack before the player falls off the mount.
The Skyscale in Action
Guild Wars 2 is fighting for players: ArenaNet has been increasingly concerned with attracting players to the MMORPG since the layoffs in February. For this, a large returnee campaign has been launched.
Many fan wishes are also included in the roadmap for upcoming innovations in Guild Wars 2. Since mounts are a special highlight in the MMORPG, it seems that there is also hope that this feature will attract old and new players.
The Skyscale would then be the second mount to release this year:
