The unveiling of the second major addon for Guild Wars 2 has not been smooth for ArenaNet. Due to massive leaks, much content from the new Guild Wars 2 expansion was revealed months ago, such as the return to the Crystal Desert and the oriental region of Vabbi in Elona. It is also now known that players will finally get mounts with their own skills.

Nevertheless, ArenaNet has remained tight-lipped so far and has not revealed the release date or the name of the new expansion. But that should change soon!
Guild Wars 2 – Addon Release Announcement – The Great Revelation in August
Meanwhile, NCSoft has made a major announcement: On August 1, 2017, today, you can experience the official announcement of the new addon on NCSoft channels on Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook. The fun starts at 6:00 PM CEST.
In a few hours, you will finally find out when the addon is coming.
Our Editor-in-Chief Schuhmann expects September 2017 as the release date. I personally believe that the expansion will not arrive until October, two years after Heart of Thorns. I also wonder what the expansion will be called. No name has been announced yet.
