In GTA Online, you can now easily earn over $200,000 by participating in two time trials. We show you the races and some tips on how to win them in this guide.
How do you get the money? Since Thursday, January 13, two new time trials are active in GTA Online. One can be completed with regular vehicles, the other with the remote-controlled RC Bandito. The races are quick to finish and earn you over 100,000 GTA dollars each.
These races are now active:
- Time Trial El Burro Heights – Earns 102,000 GTA dollars
- RC Bandito Race Construction Site II – Earns 101,000 GTA dollars
Win El Burro Heights Time Trial
This is the race: You start the race at the oil fields and have to make your way up to the mountains to the observatory.
Head to the starting line, start the race, and set your GPS point to the finish. Then hold down the back button to finish the race. You can then head straight to the start with the GPS marker.
The track is quite simple and can be completed even without shortcuts and after an accident. So you have enough time.
If you make it to the finish in less than 2 minutes and 10 seconds, you will receive immediately 102,000 GTA dollars.
Which vehicles should you use? Since you can occasionally cut across the terrain, it is advisable to ride a motorcycle. In our test, we used the Shotaro. However, the new (expensive) Shinobi also has enough power to get you to the finish in time.

Win Construction Site II Time Trial
This is the race: You can find the RC Bandito race on the map at the purple remote control. You have 1:12 minutes for the race. There are many tight corners – you drive on the roof of a construction site.
Be careful, as you can easily fall off the roof at many spots and will have to start the race over again. However, time is tight, so you need to find a good balance between “Fast” and “Careful”.
You will encounter checkpoints that are marked with arrows. The number of arrows indicates how sharply you need to take the turn.
If you make it to the finish on time, you will earn 101,000 GTA dollars.
If you complete both time trials within the allotted time, you only need about 3 minutes of effort to earn 203,000 GTA dollars.
