In GTA 5 Online a new event week has begun. But some players don’t like the bonuses at all. They feel completely trolled. What is the problem?
Why do players hate the GTA bonuses? Every Thursday, a new bonus week starts in GTA 5 Online. This means players can earn more GTA dollars and RP (for level-ups) for certain actions. At other places, there are discounts on vehicles or properties.
These bonus weeks are always an important event in the community. Just a few weeks ago, there was a brilliant money bonus, but it lasted only a very short time.

- Double RP and GTA$ for races with special vehicles
However, the bonus with the heists doesn’t really appeal to the players.

This is the problem: At first, players misread or assumed a typo when they read that the casino heists only give double RP. But it quickly became clear: There are really only double reputation points here – a money bonus is nowhere to be found.
And that is exactly what bothers the players. Normally, they use the bonus weeks to earn a lot of money during this time at certain businesses. For example, when sales missions for motorcycle presidents yield a lot of money, players really make the most of it and grind the bonus.
Now, some players were already looking forward to playing the casino heist repeatedly this week and filling their accounts. But it quickly became clear: It does provide money, but no money bonus.
“Giving double RP for the casino heist feels like buying a bag of chips from Lays/Walker,” explains reddit user thisisye. “20% value, 80% air.”
Reactions on Twitter to the lack of a money bonus are negative as well. Players feel like Rockstar is playing with them.
What would be better? Some players would be happy if the casino heist in GTA Online also received a money bonus for this week. Higher levels alone are far from as attractive as a full account in the online game.
