Making money in GTA Online is an important part of the multiplayer experience. This week there’s a time trial that brings you 102,000 GTA$ We will show you how to win.
What is it about? Every week, GTA Online activates a time trial on the multiplayer map. Every player can participate and races alone against the clock. There are no opponents.
If you manage to beat the required time, you will be rewarded with a hefty sum of money. And it only takes 2 minutes of your time.
How does the time trial work this week? The time trial is available until Thursday in Cypress Flats. There, in the south of Los Santos, you will find the starting point. You need to drive several kilometers from the industrial area to the wind farm, where the finish line is located.
The time limit is set at 2:07.2 minutes. If you don’t reach the finish line within this time, you receive only a consolation amount of 4,000 $.
If you reach the finish line within the time limit, you get 102,000 $. This amount is only awarded for the first time trial victory of the week. If you repeat the race and win, you’ll only get about 4,000 $ for it.
For that, you need to take the ideal route and ideally don’t crash at all. Because the time is tight and leaves little room for errors.
Here you can see the course on the map:
It is important that you crash through the fence right at the start, drive over the sand track, and then follow the road. This saves you time right at the beginning.
Here’s how the ride goes: Rush through the fence, over the sand onto the road. Follow the road layout until you reach this bridge and take the right exit there.
Then you continue to follow the road layout until you are almost at the finish. There you will find a gap in the right guardrail.
Turn there at a 90° angle, drive straight up the hill that leads you to the finish.

Video Guide: It’s best to watch this video before the ride. Internalize where to turn and then start your race yourself.
Which car should you take? It’s best to take the fastest car you have in your garage. You won’t get far with a stolen street car.
A modified engine with turbo is a must. In the test, our author Patrick drove the Elegy Retro Custom. The car, with a top speed of 148 MPH, is relatively slow, but still managed to reach the finish within the time limit.
Other vehicles like the Vagner or the Itali GTO are significantly faster with a top speed of 161 MPH and should make the race much easier to win.
You can win these races much more easily if you drive cars with built-in boost, like the Batmobile “Vigilante”.
