In GTA Online the summer update has finally been released. With it, not only new vehicles and weapons come into play, but also cool quality-of-life changes that simplify your life in Los Santos. This includes a long-overdue adjustment for the weapon wheel.
What happened today in GTA Online? The summer update 2022 is live in GTA Online. Rockstar surprised its fans this time with cool new vehicles and new missions for your businesses.
Additionally, Rockstar used the time to implement a few improvements in Los Santos. These affect your gangster life and simplify it with shorter loading times or more options in menus.
Therefore, on July 26, the weapon wheel received a minor adjustment that allows you to use snacks and armor faster. We will show you how it works.

Quickly equip armor and eat snacks – Here’s how
The weapon wheel received a new coat of paint with the summer update, as you can now eat snacks or quickly equip armor in it without wasting unnecessary time in the interaction menu.
For this, you simply need to open your weapon wheel. You will then see two new options on the top left side of your screen that you can select with your buttons. This way, you waste less time in a hail of bullets and can quickly re-equip yourself in combat.
What other QoL changes were there? We list more changes that make your life in Los Santos easier:
- All vehicles with “LS Car Meet” access can now be equipped with low-grip tires
- The waiting time for your vehicle delivery from the mechanic has been reduced
- Weapon vehicles can now be destroyed by other players at no cost
- All vehicles small enough to fit in the Avenger or mobile operations center can now be picked up there
- New filters for various shopping websites
- After completing a security job, you can now also enter the agency via a helicopter or through the roof
- Workshop client orders now have a higher chance of being delivered without issues
- You can now run faster in the casino, the Music Locker, or in your nightclubs
- You can be caught more often when scouting Cayo Perico and have more time for reconnaissance
- Ammunition can now be purchased for all weapons at once in the interaction menu
- If you fail a mission, your snacks will automatically be replenished
- If missions are offered to you by NPCs via calls, you can now hang up immediately
- PC players can turn off in-game chat in the settings
- Your K/D ratio is now only counted in competitive modes – kills in open lobbies no longer count
- Race creator gets more options when building tracks, such as an increase in checkpoint limits or the number of removable devices
These were all known “Quality of Life” adjustments. If more become known, we will adjust and update our list accordingly.
