Dive into the contested battlefield via parachute: The new GTA 5 Online game mode “Dawn Raid” is packed with action and reminiscent of PUBG.
With new game modes in the online world of Grand Theft Auto V, the developers consistently provide variety. The latest adversary mode is called Dawn Raid and is reminiscent of popular survival games like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
You jump from the helicopter onto the battlefield and battle there with heavy weapons over a delivery that needs to be brought to a drop-off point. Those still playing today will receive double GTA$ and RP for it.
Dawn Raid – Battlegrounds in GTA 5
In the new Dawn Raid game mode, two teams of up to 12 players compete against each other. You start the match with a jump from a helicopter positioned over the battlefield. After the jump, you steer your character with their parachute to any point on the map.
This entry into the battlefield is strongly reminiscent of the current Steam hit “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds”, where players also parachute onto the map and equip themselves with gear and weapons. In the GTA 5 game mode, however, you are already equipped with armor and weapons and can start shooting right away.
Once on the ground, both teams in Dawn Raid aim to find a hidden supply crate on the map and bring it to a drop-off point. You are equipped with night vision and thermal cameras so you can better spot your opponents on the night maps.
Support your team in securing the supply crate by taking out enemies with sniper rifles, heavy machine guns, or shotguns. Anyone who dies spawns again in the helicopter and dives back into the battlefield. Did you remember the position of your killer? Then sneak close to them and fill them with lead from behind!
Dawn Raid is tactical and a lot of fun. In this mode, it’s not just about “mindless slaughter,” but also about tactics. Will you hide in “safe” buildings until the coast is clear, or will you rush with your entire team and try to get to the drop-off point as quickly as possible? Which method you use is up to you.
