The Liberty City map will soon be playable in GTA 5 if you install a mod. We show you the first images of the modification.
Some of you may still remember the GTA 4 map Liberty City. As Niko Bellic, you completed missions for your “friends” Brucie, Little Jacob, or Dwayne Forge to improve your friendship.
Liberty City, with its various sights like the Brooker Bridge, Chinatown, or the Pleasure Statue, left a positive impression on players. Not to forget the bowling centers frequently visited with Roman. Now, this map is supposed to be available in GTA 5 soon. However, no content will be replaced, as Liberty City will find its place in the water.

The mod team responsible for OpenIV has a big announcement for you. In their new project, they make it possible to play Liberty City in GTA 5. This is not a recreated map from GTA 4 but the original Liberty City.
No places in Los Santos or Blaine County will be replaced to incorporate this map into the game. As you can see in the video, Liberty City is placed in the sea and can be accessed at any time from there.
Although the Liberty City map is relatively large, there will be no huge download. The OpenIV team assumes that you have both GTA 4 and GTA 5 installed on your PC. A converter will then load the GTA 4 map into GTA 5. Liberty City will then be a kind of unofficial single-player DLC. Because these mods can lead to bans in online mode, this mod is intended only for offline mode.
Although no release date is known yet, more information about this mod is expected soon. We will inform you as soon as there are news.
