The Hack‘n Slay Grim Dawn is currently preparing for the release of a new expansion called “Forgotten Gods”. However, there is still a major update coming that will unleash the Kraken.
The new update will primarily focus on the endgame and introduce the Kraken in Grim Dawn!
Why it’s interesting: Grim Dawn has received over 90% positive reviews from nearly 18,500 ratings and was dubbed a serious competitor to Diablo by the press at its release. However, only until the end of the gameplay, after which long-term motivation seems lacking. The new expansion could potentially bring back old players and expand the player base. Currently, Grim Dawn has around 3000 players online at the same time.
Many new features in the upcoming update
Patch v1.0.6.0 is currently in testing phase and is expected to be released at an undisclosed time. With this, several new contents will find their way into the action RPG:
- The Kraken! – Kra’vall, the Ancient from the waters will greet you with its tentacles. Slith protect the monster, which they worship as a god.
- In addition, the endgame will be improved and is expected to offer more challenges – Enemies can hit you with at least 60 percent accuracy and there will be more high-level monsters spawning. Effects for controlling monsters will no longer be so effective, and you will deal less damage against Nemesis creatures. Divine blessings will be significantly more effective.
- You will receive more legendary gear – New armors that you can acquire include Radaggan’s Folly, Rimetongue, and The Blood Knight.
- The new expansion of Grim Dawn will continue the adventure.
