The upcoming add-on will continue the adventures in the dark fantasy world. The swamps of Ugdenbog provide a refuge for the inhabitants of the world haunted by the mysterious Luminari. For the invaders from another world did not follow them into the swamps. While the refugees initially enjoyed this safety, they quickly discovered that the moors harbored something else…
Power-Hungry Witches
The Coven of Ugdenbog is a community of witches, which represents one of the four new factions in the action role-playing game Grim Dawn. You will encounter the witches during your adventures and learn more about their backstory. They, too, are refugees and encountered an ancient power in the swamps, which allowed them to harness the forces of the so-called Eldritch Realm, a place beyond reality where magic is wild and untamed. But the witches became reckless and power-hungry. They awakened something in this other realm that managed to cross over through a portal into the real world.
A New Enemy
Almost all witches of the Coven were destroyed at that time, and the few survivors fled to secret places to hide there from the powerful and dark creatures. They still haunt the moors, which is why they are safe from the Luminari, but not from the creatures of the Eldritch Realm.
Throughout the new adventures, you will learn more about these events and also confront these dark beasts. The major expansion for Grim Dawn is expected to be released this summer.
