Console players will soon be able to dive into the battle of the gods with Hand of the Gods: SMITE Tactics. The turn-based strategy game comes from Hi-Rez and is now entering closed alpha on PS4 and Xbox One.
Hand of the Gods (HotG) is a free-to-play turn-based strategy game that falls into the collectible card game genre. Titles like Hearthstone or Yu-Gi-Oh belong to the same genre.
However, Hand of the Gods is not just a card game; it also features a chess-like game board. You take on the role of a god like Zeus and build an army of mystical monsters and under-gods with a deck of cards. You send this army onto the game board and wage war against another god.
In the announcement trailer below for PS4 and Xbox One, you can get an idea of Hand of the Gods.
