The MMORPG Gloria Victis is moving towards a release at a rapid pace. The current alpha has now been expanded with a major update.
This primarily addresses the introduction of new global events into the game world. These can be experienced by players in the areas Audunstede, Leaktown, and Twinfall. These events represent new content that allows players to improve their heroes. Moreover, the game world is brought to life with them. The logic of the events has also been improved. For instance, the Gold Griffins Event now only starts when a certain requirement has been fulfilled. In total, 20 new events have been introduced.
A lot of new content
In addition, there are new gameplay areas, such as an outpost by a river, a large mercenary fort in a forest, and the ruins of a castle in the mountains that has been taken over by bandits. The latter location will later be the site of a major global event that is currently being designed. The starter area has been revamped and enhanced with many new events, allowing newcomers to enjoy a better gaming experience. Work was done on the combat as well as balancing.
New to the team is Jakub Kisel, who is working on the new combat animations. Kisel has previously worked on several larger games, including Gears of War and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. For these games, he created many animations, including some for the witcher Geralt himself. Alongside the new animations, a revised player model is also making its way into the MMORPG. Female characters are expected to follow soon. There are also revisions to a PvP map.
The MMORPG currently known as Gloria Victis can be played as an Early Access version.
