The ghost ships are terrifying enemies in the survival MMO Atlas. Especially inexperienced players quickly fall victim to them. Grapeshot Games is now announcing an increase in their numbers.
The current situation: Even now, the ghost ships, or ships of the damned, belong to the most terrifying enemies of the survival MMO. They suddenly appear on the sea and block the sailors’ paths. Even entire galleons can be destroyed by them in seconds. Inexperienced players have particularly big problems facing them.
What does Grapeshot plan? The developers announced in their first dev stream that they will increase the number of ghost ships. For many viewers, this was initially a shock. The integrity of their own ships is important to many players when sailing from island to island. No wonder, as the ships require many resources and time to complete.
Here Grapeshot makes it clear: The number of ships will be increased, but they will be weaker on average. In detail, their plan is to implement three different ship models in the game. The most common version will be a small ship. Equipped with only two cannons, less health, and armor points. The already known medium version will appear somewhat less frequently than it does now. This is intended to give inexperienced players a chance to defend themselves against the ghost ships.
For large companies with multiple ships, the large version presents itself as an opponent. It will be about twice the size of the medium ghost ship. However, the developers have not yet said anything about the number of weapons and hit points. You will find them only rarely on the sea.
