The open beta of Ghost Recon Wildlands is not running as smoothly as desired. Many players are struggling with connection issues.
Today, the open beta of the tactical shooter Ghost Recon Wildlands started. However, this test phase has not started as well as players hoped. Currently, users on PS4, Xbox One, and PC are facing connection issues to the Ubisoft servers. The error message indicates that users should visit the beta portal for more information about the problems.
Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta Portal
Many users are complaining on Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks about issues with the Ghost Recon Wildlands servers. The error appears upon connection attempts:
“Error, Unable to connect to the Ghost Recon Wildlands servers. Check out www.ghostrecon.com/betaportal for more information about the server status and scheduled downtime.” However, the address to the beta portal only redirects to the general beta website and provides no information about potential server downtime.
Error code RIBERA 1000B in Ghost Recon Wildlands
Many users see the server code Ribera-1000B. This seems to be the code for “We cannot reach the servers.” It is suspected that it could be due to the servers being overloaded at the moment.
Server down in Ghost Recon Wildlands
In the forums, the team from Ubisoft has now stated that they are aware of the connection issues on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 and are working on a solution.
However, the problems do not affect all players, but only part of them. There were already maintenance works on the PlayStation4 servers of the game today, which lasted for an hour. Whether there will be further maintenance to make the servers more stable in the coming days is currently unknown.
As soon as we have news about the server issues in Ghost Recon Wildlands, we will inform you.
In some cases, a simple reboot has helped – in that case, the welcome video for the beta must be watched twice.
Update 10:20 PM: Around 9:20 PM, there was maintenance on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. On PS4, the maintenance of the servers lasted 15 minutes. On Xbox One and PC, it lasted a bit longer. The maintenance work is now completed – the issues have been resolved.
