Ghost Recon Wildlands is getting a title update to Patch 4.0 – Therefore, the servers for PC, PS4, and Xbox One will be unavailable for two hours.
The next update for Ghost Recon Wildlands is coming for players on all platforms. Today, on May 17th from 11:00 AM, the servers for PC players will be unavailable for about two hours due to Patch 4.0 being implemented. Tomorrow, it will be the console players’ turn to receive their update.
Update: Patch 4.0 is now live – you can find the patch notes below in the article
Ghost Recon Wildlands – Server Down May 17 / May 18
The maintenance of the GRW servers will be divided into two days: Today from 11:00 AM to about 1:00 PM, the servers for PC players will be unavailable. After that, Patch 4.0 should be available on this platform.
Tomorrow (Thursday), from 11:00 AM to about 1:00 PM, the servers for PS4 and Xbox One will be unavailable. After that, players on these platforms should have access to the update. In previous patches, maintenance has been completed earlier than planned in some cases. So consider 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM only as a rough guideline.
The maintenance work only affects the online play of Ghost Recon Wildlands. Anyone who is in an online session at the start of the maintenance will continue to play with three AI allies during the server downtime.
GRW Patch 4.0 – Patch Notes
The developers will release the patch notes only after the update has been implemented. Players hope for bug fixes related to homing missiles. When flying in a plane or helicopter, homing missiles are announced with an alarm. Currently, there is a bug where the alarm often does not stop.
Additionally, players are hoping for finally corrected vehicle spawns. Currently, when requesting a vehicle from the rebels, one has to expect “interesting” spawn locations. An example of this can be seen in the following screenshot
Update: Patch 4.0 is now live and is about 7.2 GB on PC. The patch for consoles tomorrow is about 9 GB.
The patch is said to have greatly benefited from player feedback and brought several quality-of-life changes to the game. Players will now be revived at the start point of the mission and not at a random location on the map. Additionally, there is now a short window of time in which you can eliminate alerted enemies to prevent an undercover mission from failing.
Some of the changes listed in the Patch 4.0 patch notes were already included in Patch 3.5. These changes are now fully available across all platforms in the new patch.
In the following patch notes, you will find under the category “World” a note that might refer to the Yeti.
