The PvP mode “Ghost War” can now be tested in an open beta phase. Participation is possible for owners of Ghost Recon Wildlands and for new players.
Fancy some PvP shooting in “Ghost Recon Wildlands” style? You can easily take part in the next few days, as the open test phase for the 4v4 mode “Ghost War” has just gone live.
The beta is available as a “standalone” version. New players and owners of Ghost Recon Wildlands can participate.
Ghost War – Beta Start and End
Today, on September 21st, the open beta of Ghost War started on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. In the next few days, you have plenty of time to try out the beta, as the testing phase is active until September 25th.
In Ghost War, you play with two teams, each consisting of four players, against each other. You play in a best-of-3 mode. This means the team that wins twice first wins the match.
The matches are deathmatches without respawn. If you die, you must hope that a teammate revives you.
In the beta, you have five of the eight maps available to choose from. You can choose from six special classes based on your preferred playstyle. An overview of the classes can be found at the end of the article.
Ghost War Download on PC, PS4, and Xbox One
If you got excited about the game after watching the trailers and class introductions, you can now freely join the test phase. Simply go to the respective shop of the platforms and add the game to your library. On PC, the client is about 30GB in size.
- PC
- Uplay: Start Uplay on your PC. The Ghost Recon Wildlands beta should be found in the “Free Games” list. Alternatively, you can also find a large banner advertisement under “News” that allows you to activate the open beta.
- Steam: According to the guide on the Wildlands website, you should search for Ghost Recon Wildlands in the shop, go to the game’s shop page, and select “Open Beta” there. Currently, it doesn’t seem to be functioning, as we couldn’t find an “Open Beta” option there.
- PS4
- In the PlayStation Store, search for “Ghost War” and you can download the client there
- Xbox One
- For the Xbox One version, simply visit the store and search for Ghost War. You should then be able to download the client for free there.
