The latest update for Ghost Recon Wildlands is about 12 GB in size and brings a new class, new maps, and another game mode for Ghost War.
For a few days now, the first update for the PvP mode of Ghost Recon Wildlands is available. An update has refreshed the “Ghost War” mode with new content. In a blog post, the development team explains what exactly has changed in the game.
Interference Update for Ghost War – Patch Notes
In the PvP mode “Ghost War”, teams of four players each compete against each other. The Interference Update introduces a new game mode, new maps, and a new class. Depending on the platform, the size of the update varies. Steam users have to download 5.5 GB – players using Uplay have to download up to 12 GB.
New Game Mode “Uplink”
In the new Uplink PvP mode, teams of four players face off once again. Your goal is to hack the access point in the middle of the map before the other team does.
To win, you must either hack successfully or eliminate the opposing team first. There are four special, new maps for this. These are:
- Warehouse
- Oil Rush
- Burnt Out
- Underground Factory
For the elimination mode, there are also the two new maps “Cartel Depot” and “Farmer’s City”.
Interference – the New Class
As Interferers, you live up to your name. With the special ability of this class, you can disrupt the opponents’ HUDs nearby. This effect is already known from the jammer in the Fallen Ghosts DLC.
If enemies approach the Interferer, their HUD becomes practically useless, and they have to rely on their eyes. The new Interference class is immediately available to every player with a Season Pass or Ghost War Pass. Next week, the class can be purchased as usual in the store or unlocked like the other classes.
Balance Changes and Bug Fixes
In the patch notes, the developers address balance changes intended to make the PvP game fairer. The following changes come with the update:
- Recruit – no longer has a drone in their equipment
- Technician – now has 30% fewer hit points
- Vanguard – now has 10% more hit points
- Sniper – now has no mines and deals less damage
- Assault classes now require two body shots
- Executor – can now switch scopes
- Ranger – now has 50% more stamina and increased effectiveness with the PSG submachine gun
- Guardian – simplified tracking through interface improvement
- Distraction Specialist – the drone now has an improved battery
In addition, the Wildlands team fixed the bug where players became invulnerable when holding the window bar with the mouse in windowed mode. You can find the complete patch notes on the official website: Here is Ghost-Recon.Ubisoft.com
