In The Division 2 there is the pistol flashlight as a new mod. We will show you in a guide how to acquire this flashlight in about 10 minutes and finally have the light you have always wished for.
How do you get the pistol flashlight in The Division 2? The way is easy and very straightforward. You don’t have to run around like crazy:
- You start from the White House and set a marker on the underground entrance (it is yellow) directly south of the White House near the fuel depot
- Then you go down, it’s about 400 meters, and descend into the sewer
- Here you run around briefly until you reach a fork, one way goes up a ladder, the other takes you deeper into the sewer – you take the path that leads deeper
- You then enter a large room, where the mysterious “She does not speak” faction hangs out in The Division 2. It is known as the “Underground faction”. Here you hear nothing but gunfire and the sound of a chainsaw revving up
- You now kill the chainsaw guy, a heavy, and since you are at it, take out all the other goons as well. If you are well-equipped, it should go smoothly
- The big guy with the chainsaw drops the blueprint for the pistol flashlight – you can now craft it at the White House
Players were afraid of the darkness
What’s the deal with the pistol flashlight? When The Division 2 was released, players complained that it was so terribly dark, especially in the sewers. It was somewhat creepy.
They asked if The Division 2 could bring a flashlight. Massive has now indirectly answered this request with the pistol flashlight.
The ironic thing is that to get the thing, you have to go into the darkest corners of the sewer to take down a pretty creepy chainsaw guy.
What is the pistol flashlight like? The mod must be mounted on the under-barrel of a pistol. So you need to play a weapon that has such a mod slot. This does limit its usefulness a bit.
But the beam of light is clearly visible when you draw the weapon. A nice little gimmick that surely contributes to the atmosphere.
