27-year-old Erne Embeli is one of the largest German YouTubers about FIFA 22 and has many fans. However, he recently shocked these fans with pictures from the hospital: He had severely injured his left eye, just when he wanted to celebrate like Ronaldo.
Who is Erne Embeli?
- Erne Embeli runs the channel “FeelFIFA” with a partner, which has 1.18 million subscribers on YouTube: There, the focus is on the various players in FIFA FUT, their stats, and how to get them: The FIFA series games are a huge topic in football-crazy Germany.
- Embeli also has a large channel on Instagram with nearly 400,000 followers, where he reports on his life as an influencer.
- Additionally, Embeli is emotionally and commercially connected to Borussia Dortmund: Since August 2020, he has been a Content Creator for the BVB. He is also a huge fan of the club.
FIFA 23 will be the next big topic for Embeli and every fan of the series:
What is the Ronaldo celebration? The Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo runs, jumps high, spins in the air, and lets out a prolonged “Siuuu” from the bottom of his lungs while stretching out his arms (via youtube).
The “Siuuu” doesn’t have any real meaning; it’s just a prolonged “yes” that came to his mind and that he has been using ever since. The celebration has become iconic.
Slipped while celebrating and unfortunately hit his head
What went wrong for the YouTuber? Embeli was out with friends and eventually attempted the Ronaldo celebration.
But he slipped and landed so awkwardly on the ground with his head that his left eye swelled up and he couldn’t open it anymore.
Shortly thereafter he said:
I have never had such pain; this is really crazy. Just because of the celebration, I still can’t wrap my head around it. Cristiano Ronaldo should come visit me for that.
At that time, the YouTuber still thought it was just swelling that would go down over time.
This worried the fans: The hope that it would go away on its own did not materialize at all. Instead, the eye became inflamed, the YouTuber had a fever of 39 degrees, heart palpitations, and the eye kept swelling.
He had to go to the hospital and became quite scared there on Monday, July 25:
If I’m unlucky, I will lose my eyesight in my left eye and be blind because the inflammation is too strong. I can’t believe how something like that can happen. I pray to God.
It all turned out well in the end:
This is how it turned out: This worst-case scenario didn’t come true. On Tuesday, the YouTuber already gave the all-clear: Everything is on the road to recovery. The wound is still well inflamed, but is being cleaned every day.
On Instagram, there’s the message: “Don’t worry. I’ll be out soon.”
The example of the YouTuber shows that one can easily get injured in over-exuberance, especially when they happen to slip awkwardly.
FIFA is an exciting topic for content creators: Should one focus on “gameplay” or on opening card packs?
