The planned WoW event of the German Twitch streamers HandOfBlood, Metashi12, and Papaplatte has caught the attention of the US counterpart Sodapoppin. And he can’t wait to see his colleagues die.
What kind of event is this? The Twitch streamers HandOfBlood, Metashi12, and Papaplatte are currently planning an event with over 100 participants in the hardcore version of WoW Classic. This is inspired by the US content guild OnlyFangs. We have already reported on the planned event on MeinMMO.
OnlyFangs is behind MMORPG streamer Sodapoppin, who has now commented on the German version in a podcast.
“I hope they die”
What does the original say about it? Sodapoppin made a pretty clear statement about the event: “I will hatewatch it, I hope they die.” That may sound mean at first, but it’s actually a great honor because that’s the joke in such a hardcore event.
Every character has only one life, and watching them lose it in the most ridiculous ways is half the fun. The despair of the streamers behind it is usually so entertaining that it also breaks language barriers.
Sodapoppin expressed his excitement for the “Death Clips,” even though he wouldn’t understand what the people are saying. He will be laughing the whole time; that’s fantastic. Maybe for the experienced WoW player, it’s also a way to cope with his own disgrace in the last round of OnlyFangs.
In the end, Sodapoppin also had a few nice words for the German streamers: If they enjoy their event and want to do it again, he could imagine a crossover with a potential third season of OnlyFangs.

How is that received by the German OnlyFangs? Metashi, who presumably saw the clip from Sodapoppin shown by his co-founder Papaplatte, spoke of having “goosebumps” while watching. Apparently, he is very much looking forward to a possible collaboration with OnlyFangs.
But just the fact that the US counterpart is aware of the German event and is talking about it seems to motivate the streamers quite a bit.
