The Twitch streamer Isabell “HoneyPuu” Schneider is the most watched woman in the German streaming scene. She has been gaming since she was 13 years old, primarily League of Legends – and her grades suffered because of it.

For a long time, it was Reved, who has been seldom streaming due to health issues for a while. HoneyPuu started on Twitch with League of Legends – but her school grades had to suffer, as she reported now.
When she started gaming, her grades dropped
How was it back in school? In a stream on July 15, 2024, HoneyPuu reported that she was a really good student. Her grades were always “really top” – until she started gaming at the age of 13.
This hobby later impacted the streamer’s grades so drastically that she eventually did not pass the 9th grade: “I started with League [of Legends] and then I was held back.” Similarly, MeinMMO editor Jasmin also experienced this back then.

Twitch instead of studying to become a veterinarian
How did this affect her? As HoneyPuu reports, gaming eventually took over: She even skipped her basketball training for it and told her father, who was also her coach, that she had to study. The deception probably became clear when she came home with a 6.
The bad grades ultimately led to the fact that after her first aborted training, the streamer could only complete her intended veterinary studies at a private university abroad. With streaming, HoneyPuu wanted to finance her studies – instead, she became so successful that she ultimately gave up further education (via TikTok).
In the end, it seems to have paid off, as HoneyPuu can now even support her family with her streaming career – for example, by grabbing little goodies for her WoW-gaming brothers. Her mother even recently told her: “Good that you never listened to your father and finished your education.”

In fact, more and more young people are opting out of further education when they can earn a lot of money early as an influencer, like Fibii, who rose to be one of the biggest German streamers at 16.
