The German MMORPG Albion Online is still popular on Steam even 7 years after its release. A feature that is now set to come to the game is something that everyone can use.
Which game is it about? The MMORPG Albion Online is one of the most popular MMORPGs on Steam and has been a constant hit since its release in 2017. Over the years, the game has been continuously developed and even broke its own player record in 2024 thanks to new servers.
Another important update in 2024 deviated the game a bit from its roots, which lie in the sandbox. This is intended to make it easier for new players to get into the game. The next content pack for the MMORPG concerns a core mechanic once again.

The Horizons Update brings a good feature
What core mechanic is changing? While Albion Online revolves around the sandbox, there are many areas and activities for PvP players. The developers seem to consider fairness important, which is why players are still not allowed to customize their menus. All players play with the same HUD layouts.
With the new update “Horizons,” this is set to change on October 28, 2024. As the developers announce on their website albiononline.com, players will then be allowed to change the size, position, and visibility of “almost every HUD element.”
Additionally, layouts can be saved, exported, and imported. This way, you can also view and use the layouts of professionals.
Some HUD elements also have additional options that you can adjust. If you want to always see all buffs displayed directly, you can soon simply set that up.
What else is the update supposed to bring? In a video on YouTube, the developers show other content of the patch. This also includes an update to the inventory and the storage chest. New functions for sorting are added here. The storage chest also includes a compact view, allowing you to see more items at a glance.
- The “Repair All” button allows you to repair all items in the bank pouch at once.
- With the “Move All” button, you can push all items into the bank pouch or vice versa.
Besides the HUD settings, you can also save the settings in presets. For example, you can crank up the graphics while farming and push the frames per second up during PvP.
