It is already known that Genshin Impact will receive a new character, Aloy from Horizon: Zero Dawn. New gameplay footage of the Cryo archer has now been shown.
Genshin Impact announced a collaboration with Sony, as PlayStation players will receive a free 5-star character, Aloy, starting September 1.
On the occasion of gamescom 2021, a new trailer featuring Aloy was shown. Here you can see how the cute Aloy fights through various familiar enemies from Genshin Impact in an anime style.
In the video, you can see both her special ability and her ultimate, which she uses against the robot. She throws her science fiction weapons at the enemies and attacks the flying robot with her ice bow.
Update 2.1 brings Aloy, new islands, and activities to Genshin Impact
The announcement that Aloy is coming to Genshin Impact was already made by the developers on July 22, 2021, via Twitter. Here you can find the official Twitter announcement:
What else is coming with patch 2.1? With the new patch 2.1, Genshin Impact will bring new areas in Inazuma and a lot of new content. The “Fishing” feature will also introduce a completely new activity to the game.
However, for many players, the new 5-star character Raiden Shogun is considered the biggest highlight. This is the third Archon in the game. The currently latest character in Genshin Impact is Yoimiya, who takes down enemies with her fire abilities.
The patch is called “Luminous Night” and will be released on September 1. With the update, Aloy is expected to be made available for PlayStation players. PC and mobile players will have to wait until update patch 2.2:
