What happened? On Reddit, a user shared a video from one of his Apex Legends matches. The uploader Roonerth writes that he and his teammate felt that the random player in their squad was cheating.
A few minutes later, they watched as the suspected cheater took down an entire enemy squad in mere moments with the help of an aimbot. Now, the two players did not want to let the cheater get away with his cheating.

Here’s how they fooled the cheater: Roonerth played as Pathfinder. The character has the ability to set up ziplines on the map of Apex Legends. These can then be used by other players.
He wanted to use this ability to get rid of the cheater. So he placed a zipline that leads directly to death. At least, if you don’t jump off early enough.
Both players repeatedly used the ping function to draw the cheater’s attention to the zipline. Eventually, the cheater followed the instructions of his teammates. They stood at the edge of the map after following the zipline and jumped off early enough.
Their teammate was so caught up in the aimbot craze that he jumped onto the zipline and followed it to the end, where he ultimately fell helplessly off the map to his death. The joy in the team was great.
“Oh my God, that actually worked. I love this game.”
The Reddit community celebrates this video and congratulates the uploader. They even give tips: “Even if he had jumped off early enough, you could shove your teammates and move them like that. You could have pushed him off the map,” writes one player.
