Lost Ark is still only available in South Korea and is in its second closed beta. Therefore, there is now quite a bit of gameplay material. The Asia-games specialized site Steparu.com has invested several hours into Lost Ark and created some insightful gameplay videos.
For example, from the first gameplay moments in the story of the sorceress.
Gameplay of the Sorceress Class in the Realm of Rohendel
In the videos shown by Steparu regarding the gameplay of the sorceress, it is about a dark danger that threatens the fairytale magical realm of Rohendel. While the story may not be completely clear for those who are not proficient in Korean, we witness a gathering of wizards being roughly interrupted by a dark elven figure.
After that, the action really kicks off and the pretty elven sorceress runs through the beautiful realm of Rohendel, taking out enemies in a row. It is evident that even starting heroes in Lost Ark can deal significant damage. Single attacks like devastating area nukes are apparently possible early in the game.
Dynamic Story Instead of Constant Grind
During the slaughter fest, it quickly becomes apparent that in Lost Ark you are not just blasting helpless enemy creatures in droves. Rather, there are repeated story scenes and dynamic events. For example, at one point you have to escort a kind of “cute Pokémon”.
