After Black Desert, Pearl Abyss is now focusing on a pure single-player game with Crimson Desert. An almost one-hour gameplay video has now surfaced, giving the first impressions of the game. Many viewers are excited.
What kind of video is this? The gameplay video was uploaded on IGN’s YouTube channel and shows around 52 minutes of what you can expect from the game. Crimson Desert had already made an appearance at gamescom 2024 and uploaded several trailers of boss fights as part of that. However, there hasn’t been a gameplay video of this length until now.
Here you can find one of the boss videos:
However, the IGN video features other elements besides the bosses that are in focus:
- The protagonist of the game is Kliff. In the video, we see how the hero navigates through the world of Pywel and what challenges he faces.
- There are numerous dialogues where the voiced protagonist interacts with various characters.
- From idyllic small towns to vast grasslands, different corners of the world are represented in the video.
- He encounters a group called “Black Bears” and demonstrates his combat techniques against them.
- A character named Shakatu is present, who is obviously not human.
The video is recorded in 4K quality and stands out for its beautiful visuals. This excites not only us but also many viewers in the comments section.

Fans are thrilled with the graphics in Crimson Desert
What are viewers saying about the gameplay material? The video seems to be very well received. After just 30 minutes, the YouTube video had 12,000 views. In the comments, there are many admirers of what is shown in the trailer.
For JoeyGaming..both the graphics and the showcased gameplay are at another level. In his opinion, the game “totally deserves the hype.” Many agree with him, including GlanHuman. He thinks that Crimson Desert is the first RPG after The Witcher 3 that is worth playing.
A user named raptorrex cannot get enough of the particle effects. For Rurouni_Jayanth, the combination of open world, combat techniques, and music is perfect.
There is also some criticism of the shown gameplay. User Rabbit finds it annoying that the sound of footsteps is the same on every surface. In many RPGs, the sound is adapted depending on whether you are on rocky ground or grass.
For crazyooma, the sprinting looks too aggressive. There are some minor details that players do not like. However, the overall mood in the comments section is rather positive.
What bothers some, however, is that Crimson Desert currently has no release date. The RPG is slated for sometime in 2025.
