What is Gachiakuta about? In Gachiakuta, we experience the story from Rudo’s perspective. He is a boy who lives in the slums. The slums are situated between the wealthy residential area and the abyss, where the scum of human society ends up.
One day, Rudo is framed for a murder, which causes him to end up in the abyss as well. There, he has to fight for his survival, as garbage monsters and other evildoers make his life difficult. He vows to make his way back to the surface to take revenge on his enemies.
How well is the anime received? So far, Gachiakuta is rated above average. On MyAnimeList, the series currently ranks 550 out of just over 26,000 registered series on the platform (as of July 21 at 3:30 PM).
