On October 13, 2025, the first server-wide event of The Elder Scrolls Online starts with the Writhing Wall. Get ready for multiple phases where all players in your world must work together.
What kind of event is this? The new world event takes place as part of the Seasons of the Worm Cult and prepares players for the final content update of the year. The event surrounding the Writhing Wall begins on October 13, 2025, at 4 PM. The event is expected to end on the respective megaservers only when the local community has managed to breach the wall.
Can I participate even if I haven’t purchased the season content? Normally, you need to own a Content Pass for 2025 to access the content of the current season. However, according to the developers, all players should have the opportunity to contribute to the event and earn rewards.
The Event for the Battle of the Writhing Wall
Where does the event start? Visit Skordo the Knife at the Stirk Fellowship Camp (reachable via the ports of Vulkhel Guard, Daggerfall, or Davon’s Watch) or at the camp at Sonnhafen Protection Wall (which has its own wayshrine) to participate in the world event. If you want to be guided, activate the quest “Support the Fellowship” via the Crown Store.
How does the event proceed? The world event runs through 3 different phases, granting you access to various daily quests:
- Phase 1: Gather resources for the upcoming conflict. Fight for siege positions and fend off enemy incursions.
- Phase 2: You begin your assault on the Worm Cult’s facilities. Enemy incursions occur more frequently and become more challenging. A powerful leader named Ghishzor appears with Daedra at the Solstice.
- Phase 3: The battle for the Writhing Wall reaches the Bastion, an open instance where you can plunge into the remaining forces of the Worm Cult for exactly one week.
Which content is free, and which requires the Content Pass 2025? According to the developers, all players can participate in the first two phases, whether they own the Content Pass or not. Daily quests can be found at the Stirk Fellowship Camp. Some of these tasks are expected to be available throughout all 3 phases and beyond.
The quests at the camp at Sonnhafen Protection Wall as well as in Sonnhafen itself are only available to Content Pass holders. Access to the Bastion in Phase 3 is also limited to those with the Content Pass.
What rewards can I earn? First of all, completing the event ensures that the eastern part of the Solstice Island becomes accessible to all owners of the Content Pass 2025, where they can complete the storyline for the second part of the Seasons of the Worm Cult.
