Since August 2025, it has been clear, that the MMO was not to be released as planned at the end of 2025, but rather at the end of 2026, as can be seen from the latest financial report of the publisher Kakao Games.

A Broken Beta Shakes Up the Developers
What topics are the focus of our video? On YouTube, we mainly discuss the reasons why Chrono Odyssey needs an additional 12 months of development time and why it will be worth it to be patient.
The expectations for Chrono Odyssey are set high. The “open-world action online RPG,” as Chrono Studios calls it, not only boasts a fresh mix of fantasy, sci-fi, and cosmic horror. In addition to the atmosphere, the developers promise an ambitious, huge open world without loading screens and that with stunning graphics.
But it should not only look good, it also needs to function.
In the beta in summer 2025, some flaws in performance were noted that the developers do not want to simply ignore. However, they listened to the critiques which prove that a delay was urgently necessary.
By scheduling a release in the fourth quarter of 2026, they are giving themselves another chance to fulfill their promises.
The new release date sounds significantly more realistic for a successful Chrono Odyssey than the disaster that would have most likely occurred had the developers not heeded the feedback.
