Despite the ongoing legal battle with Nintendo, Palworld remains resilient, and updates are being released regularly. Now the game even enters an official co-op with a free survival game on Steam.
Which game is it about? In July 2024, the free survival game Once Human was released on Steam. With countless weapons and extensive base building, you must assert yourself against large monsters and other players in a dystopian setting.
It is now significantly more colorful in the new collaboration. On a new island, you will receive visits from the Pals in Once Human and can even become one yourself.
Become a Pal, travel with your friends
What can you expect in the new collaboration? The new map was released along with some other updates with patch 2.2.0 on October 29, 2025, the full patch notes of which you can see on the official Once Human website. In addition to general updates and adjustments, players can experience various content related to Palworld until January 20, 2026.
The most important feature is the 3 new Deviations from Palworld. With Cattiva, Chillet, and Chillet Ignis, you can find 3 new monsters that can accompany you. With 5 new transformation cookies, you even have the opportunity to transform into the Pals.
This even helps your friends, because if you transform into one of the Chillets, other players can ride on you. In this form, you also have new emotes that come from Palworld.
Additionally, there is the new island Paradise Island
. There you will find the Pals and other Deviations. On this island, you can take photos, dance, find loot, and win various gifts in hourly events. All cosmetic items from the collaboration should be unlockable for free.
As is common in free-to-play games, some of the content is hidden in daily login bonuses you can collect.
Palworld is constantly a hot topic due to the ongoing legal dispute with Nintendo. In this context, Nintendo regularly tries to register new patents affecting mechanics from their games. One of them has now been rejected: Authority rejects Nintendo’s patent application for capturing creatures, which could impact the legal dispute with Palworld
