To Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, iOS, Android) has received another small content update with Patch 9.30. The patch introduces a new explosive item that not all players seem to appreciate. We take a look at the Fortnite Patch Notes in English.
This is included in the new update for Patch 9.30: The 3rd update for Patch 9.30 is here. As before, the update is rather small, but it brings a new item to PvP that should be impactful.
However, there are also new items for PvE fans.
The features of the 3rd update for Patch 9.30 in PvP
New item – Air Strike: This is a grenade that calls down a hail of 20 rockets in a 9-meter radius. The rockets deal 75 damage per hit to players and 200(!) to buildings.
Therefore, builders are likely to have some trouble. Fortunately, the item is very rare and can only be found in a legendary version.
The weapon can be found on the ground, in chests, llamas, and supply drops, as well as available from vending machines.
Many players were already dissatisfied with the idea of another explosive weapon making its way to Fortnite. It will be interesting to see how the community will accept the new item in the long term.
These are the new limited-time modes in Fortnite (LTM)
New game modes: With the update comes a whole range of new game modes that will be active for a limited time:
- High Explosives (Teams): Only explosive weapons
- Sneaky Silencers (Solo): Only suppressed weapons at night
- Classic Teams: Only weapons from Season 1 and 2
- Pure Gold (Duos): Only legendary weapons
- Catch! (Teams): Only grenades and throwable items
- Lightning Fast! (Teams): The storm is faster here
What changes in Creative mode: In Creative mode, there are now more cars available to place.

New weapon – De-Atomizer 9000: From July 11 to July 18, you can buy this energy weapon in the shop. It fires exploding energy projectiles.
