Fortnite: Update 5.10 brings new weapons and mode – Patch notes in English

In Fortnite, the content update 5.10 is coming today for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and iOS. We have the patch notes in English for you. They showcase the new weapon “Guided Rocket” and a sniper rifle for Save the World. Additionally, a new mode called “High and Explosive” is coming to Battle Royale.

What’s happening? Today, a content update is coming to Fortnite. There are no major balance changes, but mainly new weapons and a new mode. We will show you what is changing in Fortnite.

Here are the highlights of the patch notes for Fortnite: Battle Royale

This is the new weapon Guided Rocket:

• The weapon is available in epic (purple) and legendary (orange)
• The remote control time is slightly shorter than before: only 15 seconds instead of 18
• The speed is now 1000 instead of 1,100
• The reload time has increased to 2.4 seconds (previously 2.2 seconds)
• Damage to players is now only 74/77 instead of 105/110
• Damage to buildings is 400 instead of 1100 – but explosions will damage buildings even if there is no line of sight
• And the rocket can be controlled via keyboard and the movement keys

The idea behind the change is that the rocket gives the player an overview from above. Team members can also ride on it. In the first version, the Guided Missile in Fortnite was considered “The Middle Finger of Death,” it was too strong and it wasn’t fun to play against someone using it.

This is the new mode “High and Explosive”

• The mode combines the modes “Jetpack” and “High Explosive”.
• There are only explosive weapons – normal loot spawn points on the ground occasionally spawn jetpacks
• The jetpacks regenerate fuel faster and consume less fuel – so you can stay in the air longer
• Rocket ammunition is set at 120

Additionally, the popular mode “Creative” is getting three new items. Jetpack, Crossbow, and Guided Rocket. You can train here, letting players ride on rockets around the map.

What’s in the patch notes for “Fortnite: Save the World”

This is happening in PvE: With the update, a new weapon for “Save the World” is coming, a “Scoped Sniper Rifle.” It is a single-shot sniper rifle with a lot of punch. This will be available from August 2nd at 2:00 AM our time in the event shop.
