What’s new? The start of Season 8 is just around the corner. The Fortnite developers are already showing players what Season 8 is all about with a cinematic video.
The video description on YouTube states that the powerful prisoner brought fire to Fortnite and its islands. Pirates, ninjas, and a shipload of new fighters will battle with new pirate cannons and discover legendary loot.
This is what the trailer shows: The trailer features three groups who embark on a quest for a treasure marked on a treasure map.
A pirate sails in from the sea, towing two fish soldiers. They have a treasure map with them and want to travel to the marked X to collect the treasure.
But the Ice King from Season 7 also has such a treasure map and sees that something special might be waiting for him at the X. He is also towing two of his ice warriors and is heading to the indicated point.
New volcano on the map: The third group seeking the treasure consists of the prisoner and two of his followers. They are shooting from a volcano that is now on Fortnite’s map.
Does Fortnite have a new biome? The marked spot that the groups are traveling to is in a jungle. There you can find palm trees, and the treasure chest is located on sandy ground. This is probably a new biome that awaits you in Season 8.
In line with the assumptions: Already through the teasers for Season 8 in Fortnite, it was assumed that S8 will have a pirate theme. The cinematic video shows that this assumption is correct.
