In Fortnite: Battle Royale has now revealed the 3rd and possibly last teaser for Season 9. This time, there is once again a kind of graffiti artist to be seen, and the word Neo appears along with a clear hint at the return of Tilted Towers.
What does the 3rd teaser for Season 9 show? Recently, the third teaser for the upcoming 9th Season of Fortnite was shown on Twitter. You can see the following things:
- A guy with goggles, headphones, a cap, and a hoodie. He looks a bit like a mix between a DJ and a graffiti artist. This is likely another skin from the new Battle Pass.
- The title this time is “the Future is Tilted”, which sort of means “The Future is tilted” but likely refers to the future of Tilted Towers.
- The letter “O” is prominently visible.
Neo or Neon?
What do the letters mean? By now, we have three letters that in chronological order make up the word “Neo”. If today’s teaser is the last one, then the word is likely really Neo, which in Ancient Greek means “new”, but also “fresh”, “young”, or “revolutionary”.
Many fans believe that it refers to significant changes on the map. Or maybe even a completely new map that replaces the old one or exists as an alternative.
However, there could be a fourth teaser tomorrow, on May 9th. In that case, the only sensible word would probably be Neon. However, Epic has not released any teasers on the day of the season start. Therefore, Neon seems rather unlikely.
What is the significance of Tilted Towers? However, the sentence “The Future is Tilted” argues against a new map and for a proper redesign of the old map. Because many fans interpret from this that Tilted Towers, which was completely destroyed last, will be replaced by a futuristic new version. There have already been fan arts depicting such a “Sci-Fi Tilted”.
The teaser seems to confirm this.
On Thursday, May 9th, 2019, we will know more about Season 9.
