When does the live event start? The live event has already been confirmed by Fortnite, as it is set to start on Saturday, November 1st, at 4 PM German time (Source: x.com). As always, if you want to participate, you should log into Fortnite a few hours before the start so you don’t get excluded by queues or sudden network issues.
Live event brings the Simpsons and long server downtime
What will there be in the live event? It is not yet possible to say exactly. According to leaks from various users on X, Fortnite is supposed to have developed a completely new map for the collaboration with the Simpsons. This will have the same cartoon look as the Simpsons and familiar places from the series.
In a short teaser, Kang and Kodos also chased Jonesy through rocky terrain and then pulled him into their spaceship with a tractor beam. So it is quite possible that the aliens are doing something with the zero point that could lead to a merging of realities. Note that this is just pure speculation.
Will there be rewards? Often, Epic Games has rewarded loyal participants of live events with the odd free item. This could also be possible with the live event of the Simpsons, but there are currently no details about this.
Will there be server downtime after the event? Yes, there will be, so that the new content of the season can be implemented. According to leaker Shiina on X, you can expect a 5 to 6-hour downtime that should be activated immediately after the live event ends.
How long will the server be down? It is not yet possible to say exactly. It’s possible that the servers will be back up on Saturday evening between 8 PM and midnight. In the worst case, the downtime could also extend to Sunday and not end until early in the morning. This cannot be precisely determined at present.
What can I expect after the server downtime? After the downtime, Chapter 6 Season 4 will end. After that, the major collaboration with the Simpsons will be released. There will be a new map, battle pass, and weapons, all sourced from the universe of the yellow cartoon characters. This season will be shorter, as Chapter 7 is set to launch at the end of 2025. So those interested in the Simpsons should not miss this short season.
