In Fortnite there is a new starter pack available for purchase for Season 8. You get a skin and other cosmetics for €5. We will tell you if the purchase is worth it.
What is the Starter Pack? This package is available in the in-game shop of Fortnite on PC – and on the respective platforms for PS4 and Xbox One.
It offers you a €5 skin and other cosmetics. Now there is a new package. In the “Lagoon Pack” there are again discounts.
We will tell you what is included in the package and why the purchase of the starter pack is worth it.
This is included in the new Starter Pack
Here’s what’s inside: In total, there are 4 items in the pack. This also includes a new skin:
- Skin “Laguna”
- Pineapple Paint
- Back Bling “Pineapple Clutch”
- 600 V-Bucks
What does the skin look like? The skin is a cool blonde agent. To match it, there is the pineapple ukulele that she can carry on her back.
You can find the offer here: For €4.99 you can buy the starter pack in the in-game shop. It is directly next to the previous starter pack, the Cobalt Pack:
- For PS4, the package is available in the PS4 Store.
- On Xbox One, the offer is currently not live yet, but it will surely come soon.
Is the purchase worth it? The package offers significant discounts. Usually, a skin costs around €10, this skin only costs €5 and you also get additional items.
Just the 600 V-Bucks have a value of €6, so you actually save money. Additionally, you get the skin and two more cosmetics. So if you don’t want to invest too much money in the game, you can get a real bargain with the starter pack.
This is behind the starter packs: Epic frequently includes such enticing offers in their shop. This is meant to encourage players to spend money on the game.
There have already been packages for the skins “The Ace” or “Summit Striker“.
The 600 V-Bucks included in the package won’t be very useful, since most skins cost a few V-Bucks more.
You would need to spend a bit more money to invest the 600 V-Bucks meaningfully.
The package mainly serves Epic to encourage players to make microtransactions, thereby lowering the threshold for them to do the same for another skin.
In Fortnite, there is also a new weapon, but it could lead to a catastrophe:
