Today, on February 28, Season 8 of Fortnite Battle Royale begins. Skins have already been leaked that likely belong to the new Battle Pass.
Where does the leak come from? A player shared a photo of the new skins on Reddit. He took the photos from the dashboard of the Xbox version.
What does the leak show? It reveals 3 skins for Fortnite. In the foreground is a heroine with tattoos, in the background a masked ninja in a red outfit and, it seems, a dragon tattoo on the shoulder.
On the other side in the background, you can also see a kind of fighter wearing a tiger mask. Such a nod to a tiger was already made in Teaser 3 that Fortnite released prior to Season 8.
What are the names of the skins? Unfortunately, the names of the skins do not appear in the leak.
Do the skins fit the season theme? In Season 8, Fortnite seems to be all about pirates and water. This was hinted at with a pirate hook as a teaser and the words “X marks the spot”. So does the heroine in the foreground represent a pirate?
How do you unlock these skins? In new seasons of Fortnite, new skins are regularly activated in the game. These are sometimes unlocked through the Battle Pass. It is quite possible that one or more of the three shown characters can be earned through the Season 8 Battle Pass.
When does it start? Season 8 will start today, on Thursday. From 10 AM, the servers will go into maintenance mode. During this time, the update will be applied. Just a few hours later, you should be able to jump into the new season.
